The Junior by Monica Murphy - ARC REVIEW

            THE JUNIOR IS AVAILABLE NOW

Caleb Burke.

Charming. Funny. Sexy.

Major player - both on the field and with the ladies.

I hate him.

Well, not really. I resist his so-called charms because I recognize them. We’re a lot alike, Caleb and I. He’s afraid of commitment? Me too. A giant flirt? Same here. He knows how to party? I am the absolute queen of the party.

Until I realize it’s time for me to grow up and become a responsible adult. I’ll be student teaching next year, so to save money, I move in with my two new roommates -- Eli Bennett and Caleb. Then I find a summer job -- where Caleb works. Soon, I'm spending almost every single day with the guy.

He’s growing on me too. We’ve always had this unspoken chemistry brewing between us. When we finally give in to it, it’s just as spectacular as I secretly predicted. The sex, and everything else, keeps getting better and better between us too.

But can I really take this guy seriously? Or am I only setting myself up to fail?

BOOK REVIEW

Omg this book is so 🔥.

Will an agreement between roommates to only engage sexually without affecting their friendship work out? That is what we will find out.

Caleb, Eli and Gracie form the trio of roommates in this book, from the beginning C&G has a clash related to Baylee, I think the idea was to be an enemies to lovers but for me it was like opposites attract, working together, living together and feeling an irresistible attraction for each other let's navigate with them in this story. It all starts with that famous cliché let's live together but bear with each other, ignore each other and get along on our terms but fate is beautiful, they both end up working together in the same establishment and begin to form a bond, and that's what I liked best, the respect and friendship first. The book starts with an interesting debate in which I prefer to leave for the end of my review. Caleb is such a dedicated and strong guy, I connected a lot with him because of his age and issues related to his doubts with the future, of not knowing what to do and what he really wants, he is direct and hot very hot and man if he was real and I had a chance I wouldn't think twice. Gracie is nice but I didn't connect with her, she was so shallow and I expected much more after the first contact with her in the beginning of the book, more clashes and eticetera (if you know what I mean), another thing is that for me it was the first time I read a book with the woman older than the man in a romantic relationship, the majority we read is the other way around. I confess that I expected a more dramatic and profound book but it is something light and ordinary. The end of the book leaves a great tension for the book that follows and man it has everything to be good, Eli has a decision to make! Like all the author's books has a fluid and fast reading, no difficult or technical terms, the characters are well constructed and there is no nonsense in the story, has a nice romance to read with captivating and realistic characters, I will not even comment much about the scenes of s3x because it is another level and man there is one that rolled my eyes for Gracie. This is a good read for those who love a sport romance more focused on romance.
