Nick And Noel's Christmas Playlist Review
Coming October 5th
Curl up this Christmas with a sparkling romance filled with:
Nick Winter is just out of the military, and his Christmas homecoming is not going as planned. What was supposed to be a memorable holiday with his long-time girlfriend goes sour when he learns she cheated on him while he was stationed overseas. At least Nick can rely on his usual shift at the family Christmas tree farm with his best friend, Noel Carter, and her endless supply of Christmas tunes to lift his spirits. A night of fun together is just what he needs to forget about his ex.
But then they kiss. And it feels...so right.
If Noel can turn Nick's Blue Christmas merry and bright, this might be the last Christmas Nick spends with a broken heart. This year, they'll be Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree as a couple--as long as Nick's ex doesn't go standing under any mistletoe.
BOOK REVIEW
Music + Christmas theme = perfection. What can I say about this book? From the moment I saw it I wanted to read it on the spot and I got it thanks to Netgalley and Soucebooks casablanca. Noel and Nick have been friends forever and after a long stay in the army Nick returns home to his girlfriend and friend but that's when everything is turned upside down, his girlfriend becomes his ex and a long unresolved feeling returns. Before talking about the main characters I would like to talk about the friends of N&N, Pike made me laugh so much with his extroverted and crazy way that I looked forward to his appearances, Anthony also being the most restrained of all and loyal, I was annoyed at certain moments with Gabby in relation to the disagreements between Noel and Amber, Amber was so cruel and wasn't hit back but if Noel said something to defend herself she was bombarded, she is a good character but was lacking in this aspect for me. Nick is so sweet and charismatic that it is impossible not to get attached to him from the beginning, Noel annoyed me sometimes with his exaggerated self-pity, this was the point that the author missed the most, during the whole story Noel kept saying the same thing and crying for the same reason it was understandable but he didn't need all that, he could have been less exaggerated. The Winters family is amazing. The epilogue left something to be desired I think if there was a time slot it would have been amazing. It was a fast read, simple, engaging, well finished and delightful, the chapters are just the right length and the Christmas theme captivates everyone, every moment I kept singing hahah the music lover in me went crazy. Thank you to Soucebooks Casablanca, Netgalley and author for the opportunity to read the book in advance.
